Joe Biden’s approval rating continues its downward spiral after a recent NBC News poll found 71 per cent of those surveyed believe America is heading “off on the wrong track.”

NBC News interviewed 1,000 Americans over three days and found that only 22 per cent believe the country is heading in the right direction.

Those numbers represent a drop since its last poll in August, which saw 63 per cent believing the country was on the wrong track and 29 per cent saying it was going in the right direction.

President Biden’s overall disapproval rating has jumped from 48 per cent in August to 54 per cent in the last October poll.

While the President has more backing in his handling of the pandemic, his approval in the area dropped from 69 per cent in April to 51 per cent.

Confidence in the sitting president has dropped since Barack Obama held office.

Under Joe Biden’s leadership 54 per cent are more doubtful and 42 per cent are more hopeful.

Compared to those surveyed in 2009 where 64 per cent were more hopeful and 30 per cent were doubtful. Biden’s approval drops with 71% believing US is heading 'off on the wrong track’
