Let me introduce someone who, after donating one breeding goat, experienced the miracle of the number’s increasing up to 30. They are Missionary Kim Eui-sik and Lee Soon-hee, his wife, who have just completed their training at the Spiritual Officers Academy(SOA henceforth) in Atlanta, USA and came back to Korea. Missionary Kim, who had been very busy giving lectures as a professor of Life University in Cambodia and doing other things as well, left (last August) for three-month intense training at SOA in Atlanta right after completing the 53rd training session at GPTI(Global Professionals’ Training Institute) with us. For your reference, SOA was established with the goal of cultivating Spirit-filled leaders of a spirituality of martyrdom and character.

A Female Goat for Reproduction / Kim Eui-sik

One autumn day it rained with a southeast wind.
At the sound of Noah’s bugle,
a female goat for reproduction came to marry
at the goat shed of the ark in the holy spirit training place.

O your heart was as clear as crystal;
you were as fast as a roe deer;
your legs were like those of a female deer grazing on grass;
your eyes were like friendly lamplights.

O you were like a grain of wheat
or yeast in lots of flour.
Soon you gave birth to twins – a boy and a daughter,
producing more and more offspring.

Stirring the tortured souls in all impoverished nations
with the trumpets of ram's horns soaring towards the sky,
O you gave them your flesh and milk,
helping them all perk up again and dance.

In the end, you became a holy roof
that wraps the tabernacle silently,
covering the whole world
with the shiny Cross of our Lord.
