
Sudanese Prime Minister, Senior Government Officials Detained In Likely Military Coup

Military forces in Sudan detained the country’s interim prime minster and at least five other senior government officials on Monday, in an apparent military coup that could be a major setback for the northeast African nation that was in the process of transitioning into a democracy after the 2019 ouster of military dictator Omar al-Bashir.
